Is my data safe?+
Yes. Cellmetry uses Tesla's official Fleet API with read-only access, and the servers are in Finland. Anything that leaves your private view is anonymised with no link to you. Delete your account and everything that can be linked to you is removed.
What does Tesla share with you?+
The data we request permission for through the Tesla Fleet API, such as trips, charging sessions, state of charge, battery temperature and power. We turn that stream into readable views. We never touch controls, location history, or anything you don't see in your own dashboard.
Will it wake my car or use battery?+
No. Cellmetry listens to the telemetry stream your car already sends. It never polls or wakes the car: when the car sleeps, it sends nothing and nothing is asked of it.
What happens when the trial ends?+
After 30 days it's €6.90 per car per month. If you don't continue, your history stays read-only, nothing is deleted unless you ask.
Which cars work?+
Any Tesla supported by the Fleet API in Tesla's Europe and North America regions: that covers cars bought and registered in Europe, the US, Canada, and most of Asia-Pacific. China isn't supported. Connect as many cars as you own, billed per car.
Do my old trips show up?+
Recording starts the moment you connect. Tesla's stream doesn't include the past, so history can't be imported: one more reason to connect sooner rather than later.
How are the energy categories worked out?+
Charge level, battery temperature and power are values your car reports. The split of parked energy into sentry, climate and idle drain is attributed from those recorded readings and their timing. Anything that can't be confidently placed is shown as unattributed rather than guessed.
Do you sell my data?+
No. Never to advertisers, never tied to you. Anonymised pack-level telemetry powers the Fleet comparison between the cars on the service.
