Cellmetry sets only the small first-party cookies listed below. None is for analytics or marketing, and none follows you to other sites. That is why you do not see a consent banner — under the EU ePrivacy Directive, cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for, and plain user-preference cookies, do not require prior consent.
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime | Flags |
|---|---|---|---|---|
fleet_token | Keeps you signed in. Holds a signed session token (JWT) identifying your account. | Strictly necessary | 7 days from your last visit, up to 90 days | HttpOnly · Secure · SameSite=Lax |
theme | Remembers whether you chose Light or Dark mode so the page does not flash on reload. | User preference | 1 year | SameSite=Lax |
cmt_locale | Remembers your language (Finnish or English). Set when you use the language link, or automatically on your first visit if your device's timezone is in Finland. | User preference | 1 year | SameSite=Lax |
cmt_demo | Runs the public demo. Holds a signed token for the shared read-only demo account. Only set when you open the demo, and removed when you leave it, log in, or sign up. Your own sign-in cookie is left untouched underneath it. | Strictly necessary | 7 days, or 1 hour if you were already signed in | HttpOnly · Secure · SameSite=Lax |
cmt_demo_locale | Keeps the public demo in the language you entered it from. Only set when you open the demo. | User preference | Same as cmt_demo | HttpOnly · Secure · SameSite=Lax |
scope | Remembers which dashboard view (personal, a group, or the community fleet) you last used so neutral pages open in the right one. Only set in the signed-in dashboard. | User preference | 1 year | SameSite=Lax |
The dashboard mirrors your theme choice into localStorage (key theme) so we can render the correct mode before the cookie round-trip completes. It contains no personal data. Clearing site data in your browser removes both the cookie and the local-storage entry.
You can clear cookies for cellmetry.com at any time from your browser's site-data controls. Removing fleet_token signs you out immediately; you can sign back in normally. Removing theme resets the dashboard to follow your operating-system preference. Removing cmt_locale makes the front page fall back to the timezone-based language default on your next visit; the other preference cookies simply reset to their defaults.
If we ever add a cookie that requires consent — for example, if we one day enable optional analytics — we will publish a banner asking first and update this page before that cookie can be set. Past versions remain available on request.
